By request...

So there have been quite a few requests to see photos of my latest "big kid" purchase... well here it is

It is a 2008 Subaru Outback Sport and I absolutely love it. It is a 5 speed which makes it even better. And I got it with dark interior because quite frankly I am messy and participate in messy activities which is not a good combo with light interior...so there you go. But the absolute best part...

That right folks...heated seats. Probably the best part of the new car. Nothing beats warm cheeks. So there she is. I am quite excited about it.

Also today, I purchased some fun dishes at Savers. Since I have been investigating the whole house thing. I thought I should probably have something to put in it. So my plan is to slowly start acquiring housewares as I find good deals so I can partially furnish a house. So here is a spattering of my first purchases:

Here are a couple close ups of some high quality pieces Savers had to offer:

If you were curious... yes that is a wolf if the background about to prey on the fowl. Also, gold flecks are present on the glass. I know... I love Savers too. Well there you all go. The great excitement that is my life.

P.S note the close proximity of the last 2 posts. I know I am going to eat my cookie right now while the parade is doing its thing :)

It's only been two months :)

So I know I have been a complete slacker about posting but what can you do :) Here will the quick and dirty about what has happened the last 2 months. First, Kyla came home from China so Bri and I went back home to see her. It was the first time the whole fam has been together in 2 1/2 year or so. Needless to say it was a lot of fun. We went up to Tahoe ate and just hung out. Kyla brought us back some pretty cool stuff. I got a beautiful scarf from Tibet, some red underwear for the Chinese New Year as well as some socks with a rat on them because if you didn't know it is the year of the Rat.

And of course we hit up the buffet. No trip to Reno is complete with out a little gluttony. Also, while we were in line a lady passed out. Then in church the next day the Sunday School teacher passed out... Really!? Two people in 2 days... Thanks for coming home Ky.

Next in February I hit up the good ol' city of Country Music. There was a physical therapy conference in Nashville. So I met up with a couple of friends from school and partied hardy in Tennessee. The Conference was held at the Opryland Hotel. It was pretty much amazing. We took a river tour of the hotel just to give you an idea of this place. We also went line dancing at the Wildhorse saloon, saw Lil' Jimmy Dickens perform at the Grand Ol' Opry and yes... we bought cowboy hats. Please we were in Nashville. Also, just for the record dudes dig the hat in that town. Shan and I were walking around completely unnoticed until we put on the magical hat then we were getting honked and talked to... who knew the power of hat besides Frosty?

Then last but not least, Kyla came to Boise to visit. It was so fun to have someone visit (hint, hint...nudge nudge :) We had a great time. She came in on friday night. We went grocery shopping and to vietnamese food where Kyla was hitting on the waiter. Saturday went snowboarding at Bogus Basin then went to a concert downtown with Ingrid Michaelson, Joshua Radin and Alexa Wilkinson which was amazing. Then Sunday was the usual church going fun. And she left on Monday to driver her blessed car home. Speaking of which... I bought a new car. I kind of love it! I will post a picture hopefully soon. They are just being slow to upload... thank you technology. Well there is the last few months in a nutshell. I could say I will be better about posting but those of you that know me well will know that would be a complete lie. So I will just end keeping you in anticipation about when the next post will be...
